Colour Light Therapy (chromotherapy) is the technique of restoring balance by applying colour to the body. It is one of the most holistic and simple methods with loads of proven health and cosmetic benefits.

During any Soul Sweat IR sauna session, treat yourself to chromotherapy – it’s all part of the package, just choose your desired colour and experience the healing power of colour.

    • Wear loose clothing after as it can be tricky trying to put tight clothes on when you are hot and sweaty

    *IMPORTANT - Never enter the IR Sauna wet and do not pour any water in the sauna (like you do in a traditional sauna) as it's an electrical sauna.

  • The main things to bring are your swimmers and towels (one to sit on and one to wipe away excess sweat or to shower with, post sauna). Maybe bring some loose fitting clothes to pop on after.

    Perhaps bring a book or your bestie of course.

    We provide water: still or sparkling.

    We also have the option to watch Netflix or listen to your favourite tunes or podcast.

    We also have luxe showers with shampoo and conditioner if you want to refreshen up after your sweat.

  • Ah, the battle of the saunas!

    Traditional saunas and infrared saunas may both make you sweat like a waterfall, but they have some differences that make each of them unique.

    Traditional saunas use heated rocks or steam to warm the air, while infrared saunas use light to radiant heat directly into your skin, deep into your tissues and muscles, increasing oxygen flow & circulation, whilst sweating out toxins.

    Traditional saunas have higher temperatures (80-100 degrees) and humidity (making it tricky to breathe), while infrared saunas operate at lower temperatures (45-65 degrees) and drier air (so no wheezing).

    Traditional saunas make you sweat by heating the air, while infrared saunas promote deep sweat from within.

    Traditional saunas have a cozy, rustic feel, while infrared saunas have a modern, sleek ambience.

    Traditional saunas take longer to heat up, while infrared saunas heat up faster.

  • The ideal infrared sauna temp will depend on what you’re looking to accomplish:

    DETOX: Infrared Sauna temp: 40-55°C

    • Infrared saunas offer better detoxification at lower temperatures.

    • When you sweat in an infrared sauna, the sweat contains about 20% toxins, compared to only 3% of toxins when you sweat in a traditional sauna. This is because infrared saunas heat the body from the inside out, which allows toxins to be released more easily.

    • The sweat from an infrared sauna is also thicker and stickier, which is another sign that it is carrying toxins.

    • The lower temperature of an infrared sauna also helps prevent electrolyte (minerals that are important for hydration & muscle function) loss. When you sweat, you lose electrolytes, which can lead to dehydration and muscle cramps. The lower temperature of an infrared sauna helps to reduce electrolyte loss, so you can sweat more without getting dehydrated.

    RECOVERY: Infrared Sauna temp: 55-65°

    • Higher temperatures in an infrared sauna increase the rate at which the body's core temperature rises.

    • Infrared light penetrates deeply into the body, past the epidermis (outermost layer of skin), to activate the body's cellular response, raising the body's internal temperature.

    • This increased heat production improves blood circulation by delivering oxygen and nutrients more quickly to vital organs, joints, and muscles.

    • This can help to reduce inflammation and pain and promote quicker healing.

    You may notice that in your first few sessions it takes around 10-20 minutes to break a sweat. This is because our saunas are heating your body directly and raising your core temperature, rather than simply heating your skin with hot air. As your body becomes more accustomed to raising your core temperature on a regular basis, your sweat will become more excessive and start sooner into your session.

  • At Soulhub we have the best of the best Clearlight Jacuzzi infrared saunas.

    We have two large infrared saunas that can comfortably fit up to 3 people.

    To bring additional guests to your IR Sauna booking, simply pay the following at Soulhub reception on arrival -

    $10 extra per person for 30-minute sauna

    $15 extra per person for 50-minute sauna

    Don't forget your swimmers and towels (one to sit on and one to wipe excess sweat).

  • At Soulhub we recognise you are busy that’s why we have two durations available:

    • 30min express session, or

    • 50min longer session

    You can enjoy the entire duration in the private sauna and ask you to vacate the room (with all belongings) if and when you shower, so we can clean the sauna for the next client.

    • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you should avoid using the infrared sauna

    • Anyone under the age of 18 (under 18 needs parent/guardian in attendance, under 13 not permitted) 

    • Anyone over the age of 55

    • Anyone with cardiovascular conditions

    • Individuals prone to bleeding

    • If you suffer from chronic health conditions, it is always best to consult with your physician prior to use

    • If you have any concerns or are unsure about using an infrared sauna, it is best to consult your GP or physician prior to use

  • We sure do. We have fully kitted out bathroom and shower facilities. They are very luxe.

    We provide shampoo, conditioner and all sorts of fancy schmancy products for your hair and face serums. We also have a hair dryer should you need it.

    Just be sure to bring your own towel.

  • For optimal benefits, research shows we should aim for 2-4 infrared sauna sessions per week, each lasting 20-40 minutes.

    If you're new to infrared saunas, start with shorter sessions (20 minutes) and gradually increase the duration and frequency as your body adjusts. 

    However, it is perfectly safe to use it daily. Infrared therapy is a wellness experience where the results are progressive. This means the more you experience the sauna session, the better you will feel.

    BLUE: is known for its soothing benefits – mentally relaxing.

    • Pacifying effect on the nervous system 

    • Ideal for sleep problems

    • Calms the mind that is worried, excited or in a constant nervous state

    ORANGE: is a blend of red and yellow, combining physical energy with mental wisdom.

    • Heals the physical body (red) and, at the same time, induces within the mind (yellow) greater understanding

    • Aids in repairing inflammation of the kidneys, gallstones, menstrual cramps, epilepsy, wet cough and all sinus conditions


    GREEN:
    benefits most any condition in need of healing, while providing feelings of harmony. When in doubt, green will always work!

    • Relaxes muscles, nerves and thoughts 

    • Energising, moderating and soothing

    • Helps to heal many conditions of the heart – lowers and stabilises blood pressure, ulcers, cancer, headaches, nervous disorders and influenza

    YELLOW: arouses higher mentality, giving a creativity boost. 

    • Excellent for nervous or nerve-related conditions or ailments due to an alkalizing effect that strengthens nerves

    • Used for conditions of the stomach, liver, and intestines

    • Typical diseases treated by yellow are constipation, gas, liver troubles, diabetes, eczema and nervous exhaustion

    • Helps repair scarred tissue and eczema

    PURPLE: purifies our thoughts and feelings giving us inspiration.

    • Excellent remedy for neurosis, diseases of the scalp, sciatica, tumours, rheumatism, cerebrospinal meningitis, concussion, cramps and epilepsy

    • Connects us to our spiritual self bringing guidance, wisdom and inner strength and enhances artistic talent and creativity
